Overview:Their special sauce in the market is the fact that their antennas can focus transmit and receive signals to provide farther extended range, and deal better with ambient noise. Their controllers come in a bunch of different sizes, but their smallest unit maxes out at 75 antennas. They also currently have a software controller (sits on top of VMWare) . They are also looking at a SaaS controller that will be out in early 2016 but we do not know its limitations yet. Product line up at Q2, 2015:Pros:Their APs can deal with noise better, and have larger ranges then other APs. For our deployments, we probably can go with 1-3 APs per office rather than the multitudes that we currently have. (This might be different in Malta with the different small floors.) Their "Special Sauce" is BeamFlex. Unlike omni-directional antennas that radiate signals in all directions, BeamFlex directs transmit energy towards the best path to the receiving device. And unlike fixed-positioned directional antennas, BeamFlex dynamically configures its "beam" on a per-station, per-packet basis, to achieve omni-directional coverage.
PricingController Software.VM image software for the controller, rather then a hardware appliance. It includes a single license for one AP.
For every additional AP connected to the controller, you need to purchase one of the following:
AP:The first two items are APs. The first is a US only AP, and the second is licensed for anywhere else in the world (EU, Japan, China, Israel, etc).
Support:The first line is for the controller (Sz) and the one AP that comes with it. The second line is for each additional AP. The APs hardware themselves is supported by default. But you need to pay support for the controller, and that includes the license for every AP allowed to connect to it.
Hardware replacement is next business day (this may only work in the US). The advanced hardware replacement applies to ZoneDirector or SZ hardware that is under support. Advanced replacement for the AP’s is available but at additional cost per AP. If the AP’s are mission critical then most customers simply purchase a spare AP. Configuring and Setup:Controllers:
