Generate a new record for the Host: First you need to tell the SecurID server about the host that will be authenticating against it. To do this, from the Access(1) tab, select Authentication Agents(2) and Add New(3). In the Add New Authentication Agent Window, enter in the following: - Hostname = Hostname (fwdn) of the new device you are adding
- IP Address = IP addres of the new device you are adding

Standard Agent - Agent May be Accessed by =
All users - Save to save changes.
 If there are any DNS issues, you'll get a confirmation Request to make sure you entered the data in properly. Check it and Save the Agent. Generate Authentication Manager Configuration File: This file tells the new host what and how to communicate to the RSA SecurID server. To create the file, from the Access(1) tab, select Authentication Agents(2) and Generate Configuration File(3). In the Configure Agent Timeout and Reties window, if needed, modify the Retries and Timeouts(1) and select Generate Config File(2) Then select the Download Now button to save the file to your local PC. The file downloaded is a .zip file, but once you unpack it, you will get a file called sdconf.rec . This file will be what you upload to your new host. |
